Psoriasis Is Not Contagious, Awareness Is

This August, V&M Naturals is one in taking part of Psoriasis Awareness Month, as we have quite a number of clients who suffer from the illness and we want more people to have enough information about it. And, so, in this post we will try to impart as much knowledge about the topic as we can.

According to Mayo Clinic, Psoriasis is a usual skin condition that quickens the skin cells’ life cycle, which causes the rapid build-up of cells on the skin’s surface. These extra skin cells form scales and red patches that are itchy and can even be painful.

Signs and symptoms of Psoriasis are not the same for everyone with common ones including red patches, scaling, dry skin, itching, soreness, thickened nails, and stiff joints. Psoriasis patches can appear in different ways from dandruff-like scaling to major eruptions in large areas.

There are 7 types of Psoriasis:

Plaque psoriasis
Nail psoriasis
Guttate psoriasis
Inverse psoriasis
Pustular psoriasis
Erythrodermic psoriasis
Psoriatic arthritis

Most types of psoriasis go through cycles. They flare for a few weeks or months and then subside for a time or even go into remission.

Although the cause of Psoriasis has not been fully understood, there are a number of triggers that can worsen it. Some of these include infections, skin injury, stress, smoking, heavy alcohol consumption, Vitamin D deficiency, and certain medications.

Meanwhile there are also a number of factors that may increase the risk of developing Psoriasis:

Family history
Viral and bacterial infections
Stress
Obesity
Smoking

Until today, there is still no cure developed for Psoriasis. However, symptoms can be managed through a number of lifestyle measures like moisturizing, quitting smoking, and managing stress. Another thing that has helped so many of our clients that deal with this dilemma is our Emu Oil, which is the only oil that resembles the human skin’s natural oil. Due to this property, it can be utilized in decreasing the appearance of scaling, itching, redness, soreness and red patches.

We are in no way saying that our product can cure Psoriasis. However, we also believe in the testaments that our clients have given regarding its amazing benefits towards their skins. So, if not a single medication you are trying right now is helping in improving your condition, you can always consider Emu Oil.

The REAL Emu Oil

For those of you who have had the chance to experience the incredible benefits of the Emu Oil, you may have also noticed that the product may change in color, texture or smell whenever you buy a new one. And we’re not going to lie, we see these changes as well. So, why is there no consistency in this specific product, you may be asking? Well, we’ve got the answer for you.

The changes in the Emu Oil vary per batch primarily because of two reasons. First, we harvest this oil from living, thriving emu birds. This means that the physical conditions of the animal have so much to do with the products we release, like their age, breed, size and diet. Even the climate at the time the oil has been harvested can contribute to such changes.

Second reason is the refining process where the Emu Oil can come out in one of three colors: pearl-white, yellow, or brown. The oil comes out pearl-white if the refinery process was done in the perfect way, which is almost always the case. Meanwhile, it comes out yellow or brown if there is some minor disturbance during the refining process (e.g., the refinery has been shut down for 30 minutes at most). However, the change in color does not mean that it has any effect on the Emu Oil’s remarkable benefits. Not even a little one.

We use all-natural ingredients to formulate our products to ensure that we get to produce only the best quality each time. So, rest assured that every item you purchase have gone through a meticulous process to ensure that you get their superior benefits. Because, that’s what we really aim to do: to utilize the world’s natural resources in a bid to encourage people to make the healthy switch.

Let’s Get Natural: 4 Ways to Get Rid of Hormonal Acne

The misconception about acne is that they are a problem only faced by teenagers. But that is so far from the truth because of what we call hormones. These are the bane of many people’s existence, as they cause acne that pester them even on their late 30s. So, don’t be too complacent in thinking you have evaded these nasty little things because some people are just aren’t safe from them.

But you don’t need to worry too much because you have the power to improve this situation through these 4 easy steps.

1. Eat Food That Makes You Feel Good

As our parents have said since we were kids; always eat your greens. These aren’t called healthy food for no reason! They are the ones that give us the vitamins and minerals we need to conquer whatever bad element there is in our body that causes sickness. Or in this case, acne. Some food you can try to add to your diet are probiotic supplements or yogurt with live, active cultures because these help the gut ease inflammation that can start a number of skin problems.

2. Get Physical!

Nobody agrees with you more than I do in the fact that exercise is difficult to do. Especially when getting out of bed in the morning is already a big challenge. But, if you want clear skin, exercise is one of the things you must do! That’s because it boosts circulation, which reduces skin inflammation. Moreover, sweating is a great way to let your pores breathe!

3. Drink an Ocean of Water

Drinking a lot of water is quite possibly the most important part of this 4-easy step. Why? Let me give you a list.

  • Water maintains skin moisture, replenishes skin tissue and increases elasticity – thus making it soft and supple
  • It helps delay signs of aging
  • Enhances skin complexion because it keeps the skin well-hydrated
  • Flushes toxins from the body, which gives you a healthy and glowing skin
  • Enough water intake can combat skin illnesses like psoriasis and eczema

4. Breathe In, Don’t Stress

Stress, as everyone should know, gives no benefit to our body and overall wellness. And just like things that do not contribute to our being, we should exhale them away. Inflamed acne breakouts are commonly caused by overproduction of androgen. And you know what activates the adrenal glands? Stress! So, quit stressing about the things you can’t change and focus on the positive things instead.

You know what else is natural that you can add to these steps? Our Pure Fully Refine Emu Oil, of course! It is the only oil with pH level that resemble that of humans making it perfect for improving, basically, just about any skin condition. So, head now to your nearest V&M Naturals store and experience the power of this miracle worker!
